Pineapple Bourbon Barbecue Sauce
This Pineapple Bourbon Barbecue Sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. It works perfectly as a glaze and a sauce on pork tenderloin and chops. You can have a delicious homemade thick delicious sauce that caramelizes on the grill or under the broiler in less than 30 minutes!

Some days are busy. Pork chops and tenderloins are an easy option for getting dinner on the table. Make an average meal into a delicious one with sauces and condiments! If you don’t have time or the energy to make the sauce from scratch, there is no shame in using a premade sauce. My pantry is loaded with my favorite sweet, spicy, and savory blends!
Terrapin Ridge’s Habanero Pineapple sauce is delicious and an ideal substitution if you’re in a time crunch. It has a thick consistency that is perfect for use as a glaze when grilling or broiling.
Pineapple Bourbon Barbecue Sauce

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion diced
- 3 habanero peppers chopped (optional)
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cups brown sugar
- ¾ cups pineapple juice
- ½ cup crushed pineapple
- ½ cup bourbon
- ¼ cup molasses
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ tsp chipotle chili powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
Instructions
- Heat a medium-sized saucepan to medium. Add the olive oil and saute the onions and peppers until the onions become translucent and the peppers soften.
- Add the additional ingredients. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer until the mixture thickens and reduces, about 20-25 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
